1. Who we are and what this covers

Atelity (“Atelity”, “we”, “us”) runs the website, the early-access list, and the test version of the Atelity app (together, the “Services”). This policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Services.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Early-access list: your name, email address, and what you do.
  • Tester and account information: if you join the testing program, your login details, profile information, and your preferences.
  • Your Personal Enrichment Profile: your interests, skills, goals, and the communities you belong to, which you choose to add so Atelity can personalise its suggestions.
  • Messages to us: anything you send when you contact us or give feedback.

Content you capture in the app

Voice notes, text notes, photos of business cards, event tags, and the relationship profiles, summaries, and follow-up suggestions generated from them. This content may include information about other people (see Section 6).

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information, such as device type, operating system, browser, and IP address.
  • Approximate location, derived from your IP address.
  • Usage information, such as pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps, through analytics (see Section 7).

Information from other sources

  • Sign-in providers you choose to use, such as Google, which share your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Publicly available information, if a feature enriches a profile with it. We will tell you in the app when a feature does this.

Information we de-identify

We may de-identify or aggregate information so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to you. We use it to understand and improve Atelity and we do not try to re-identify it.

3. How we use your information and why

What we doWhy we’re allowed to
Run the early-access list, invite testers, and give you access to the appTo take steps you request, and our legitimate interest in running the program
Provide the features: transcription, extracting names and interests from your notes, matching, follow-up suggestions, remindersTo provide the service you signed up for
Contact you about Atelity, including updates about the program and productYour consent and our legitimate interest. You can unsubscribe at any time
Analyse usage, fix bugs, and improve performance and designOur legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used
Keep the Services secure, prevent abuse and fraudOur legitimate interest
Comply with the law and enforce our termsLegal obligation and legitimate interest

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.

4. AI processing and your content

Atelity uses AI to transcribe your voice notes and to extract names, companies, interests, and opportunities from them. To do this, your content is sent to service providers that run these models for us, under terms that require them to protect it.

  • We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
  • We do not use your captured notes or recordings to train AI models that are made available to other people.
  • We may use de-identified, aggregated information to evaluate and improve Atelity.
  • AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Please check anything important before relying on it.

5. Who we share your information with

We share information only as needed:

  • Service providers that help us run the Services: hosting and database, email delivery, analytics, transcription and AI processing, and customer support tools.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors, and accountants.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, our team, or the public.
  • A buyer or successor, if Atelity is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We would tell you and the new owner would have to honour this policy.
  • Anyone you ask us to, with your consent.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Information about other people

Atelity is built to help you remember the people you meet, so you may add details about them. If you do:

  • You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record and store that information, including permission to record a conversation where the law requires it.
  • Their information is used only to give you your own memory, search, and follow-up features. We do not use it to contact them, and we do not make it visible to other Atelity users unless you share it.
  • If you are a person whose details have been captured and you want them removed, email us at hello@atelity.com and we will act on it.

7. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies

The site sets no cookies of its own. Here is what it loads:

  • Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics records page views and anonymous visitor counts, plus basic device, browser, referrer and approximate-location information. Its visitor identifier is a hash derived from the request and discarded after 24 hours. It does not use cookies, and it cannot follow you across other sites.
  • Form security: when the early-access form loads, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is filling it in. It returns a one-time verification token rather than setting a cookie, because we do not use its pre-clearance option. The form backend (Supabase) receives the details you submit and the request’s IP address, which Turnstile uses for verification.
  • Hosting: Vercel serves the site and receives the request needed to load a page, including the usual server logs.

You can block the analytics script with a browser extension or content blocker; the rest of the site keeps working.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels, and we do not sell analytics data. We do not measure whether you open our emails. If any of this changes, we will update this policy.

The site does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no consistent standard for them.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may store or process your information outside Nigeria. When this happens, we take steps to make sure your information is given a level of protection consistent with Nigerian data protection law, such as contractual safeguards with those providers.

9. How long we keep your information

  • Early-access list details: until you ask us to delete them, or 12 months after the early-access program ends, whichever comes first.
  • Tester account and captured content: while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account or ask us to.
  • Analytics data: up to 24 months.
  • Records we must keep by law: for as long as the law requires.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the law requires. Please do not send us sensitive information through insecure channels.

11. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold information about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • have your information deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time; and
  • not be subject to a decision based only on automated processing that significantly affects you.

To use any of these rights, email hello@atelity.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

12. Children

Atelity is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

13. Third-party links

The Services may link to other websites and platforms, including social networks. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before you share information with them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product develops. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, if the changes are material, tell you by email or a notice on the site. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
